Features & Design:
Qualcome’s latest chipset QCC3020 provides this set of earbuds super low latency (lag) audio and a great range (up to 33 feet). Watching videos no longer have late audio like most Bluetooth earbuds on the market, but playing certain games still do. They have a IPX5 (waterproof rating) for the charging case and earbuds to protect from sweat while exercising. I find the comply foam ear tips get slippery when wet.
Touch x1 for volume up (right) and down (left).
Touch and quick hold for skip/previous song.
Touch and long hold to power off. (I just take mine out and put in the case when done.)
Sound quality:
The dual driver sets a wide sound stage so music doesn’t sound compressed. Bass is very punchy while every other sound is clear. Most heavy bass earbuds drown every other noise and makes the audio sound muffled. This is why I like dual drivers as they separate the sounds. Phone calls are clear using the earbuds. They don't have noise canceling. This comes with a free pair of comply memory foam ear-tips. I personally don’t hear any outside noise while music is playing.
Battery life:
This is where these earbuds shine... after 2 hours of outdoor activity, they still have 86% battery! The earbuds alone last over 10 hours. The case charges it full the next time when needed it. It's been a week and the case is still 3/4 full. So SoundPeats's claim of 30 hours of total playtime is very modest. The case comes with usb-c port but only charge with slow crawls charger. My phone/laptop charger did not work.
Final thoughts:
Although the earbuds sounded really good, I still find myself using the True Dots more for gym due to it's size. TruEngine 3SE is great for binge watching your fav movies or listening to your fav music. If you plan to use this for games, I would suggest something else. I got these on sale for $30 with a coupon. If you already own a pair of Bluetooth earbuds then I would wait for the next QCC3040 chip to finally address the lag in games. Other than that, it is a terrific budget friendly earbuds that offers premium sound & rivals other expensive brand names $200+.
Hope this post helps your buying decision. Until next time, ciao!
